I'm reading the new testament from beginning to end because I've never done it that way before, and I'm also one of those people who decides to read the entire bible in a year and I always start at the beginning and fizzle out around proverbs lol.
What I read today that was for me:
Matthew 13:12-13
And what is the seed that fell among the thorny weeds? That seed is like the person who hears the teaching but let's worries about this life and the temptation of wealth stop that teaching from growing. So the teaching does not produce fruit in that persons life. But what is that seed that fell on the good ground? That seed is like the person who hears the teaching and understands it. That person grows and produces fruit, sometimes sixty times more, and sometimes thirty times more.
Oh Lord! I need a transplant! Get me out of these weeds and put me in the good earth! I want my roots deep in you and to produce fruit! Amen!
